A. It’s normal during breast feeding so that’s it us recommended to have a glass of water after feeding the baby and you can drink a glass prior to feeding as well

A. My wife has the same experience. As soon as she'll sit down and start feeding, an immense urge to drink water takes over her. She always sits with a bottle of water. Water, anyway does no harm and keeps you hydrated. a quick google search tells this is because of oxytocin release when feeding the baby. This is normal, rather a good thing in a way to remind yourself to keep hydrated.

A. Soon after starting to nurse, you will notice that you feel thirsty more often. This is triggered by oxytocin, a hormone released during breastfeeding, which naturally affects your thirst cues to encourage you to drink enough water to hydrate yourself and make breast milk.
