Akanksha BhuriMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. she's having constipation, is her water intake low?
offer lots of fluids to her, and soft foods. give food that's easier to digest like moong dal. Also if you are giving formula, make sure it's properly prepared according to the instructions mentioned on the pack. sometimes the brand too doesn't suit the baby and digestive issues like these happen, so check for that too. you might try changing the formula brand, check Dexolac stage 2. I had used the same for my daughter when she was 8 months. earlier we used a different brand but she used to be very gassy all the time, so.we switched to this and her digestive issues got better.
Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. at this age the child should pass stool regularly.
if the consistency is hard and the child is having pain while passing stool it is considered as constipation.
give plenty of water and fibre diet to the child
it is important to give fibre diet from cerealsd pulses vegetables and fruits
avoid giving more than 400 ml milk everyday and avoid giving packet and processed foods as well as biscuits and refined foodx
adding papaya , fennel seeds water , oats pear prunes pineapple banana kishmish to the regular diet will help in decreasing constipation.
