Q.
9 month old had low grade fever due to viral infection 10 days ago. He had recovered but has got fever again. The temperature is 99.8

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. 99.8 can be consider fever if your baby's behavior is cranky n not talking feeds, lethargic.. keep temperature checking 6 hourly..and give pcm drops if temp is more than 100. Fevers higher than 104° F. should be attended to immediately. Dress your child lightly. Use a sheet instead of a blanket to cover her in bed. Breastfeed or give your baby formula often to maintain hydration of body. Give soft easy to digest diet. maintain proper hygein. If persistent for more than 48 hours,OR accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed ,consult your paediatrician

Manali K MehtaMom of a 9 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. Hi parent Keep her hydrated she's more than six months so she can be given water.. you may give her a small spoon of lukewarm water every hour in the day time don't expose her to winds and dust
