Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the tukoype of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. it is the viral. Cold and running nose may be due to season variation so you can give a steam for this and also can give asthakind for the cough if it is there otherwise it takes around 5 days to be normal . no need to worry for this .
