Q.

3 yr 8 month old girl have urine infaction and get fiver pls suggest medication cefexime and peracetamol i have given to her

A. if your doctor has prescribed this medicine than go ahead can administer this medicine but it is not advisable to use any medicines without medical consultation because they have got side effects. it is advisable that you should visit your doctor for that. how to take a particular medicine and the dosage will be told by your doctor. so kindly avoid self medication in this case it is important to rule out urinary tract infection for which urine report as well as urine culture needs to be done. in the report if it is found that there is positive urine culture then dr gives antibiotics for around 14 days after which culture report is repeated to see ifd the infection is gone. kindly take plenty of fluids to drink to and maintain hygiene of the urinary area and contact your doctor for relevant examination and investigation at the earliestd
