3 month old baby was cooing and babbling for around 2-3 weeks and have stopped doing that suddenly.. what could be the reason?

A. Hi it's fine this keeps on changing The first three years of life are more important for acquiring language and speech skills as brain is maturing and developing . Babies by the end of third month develop social smile and start cooing By the end of sixth month will move his head and turn to the direction of sound and start to make different babbling sounds. By the end of 12 months may start saying few bisyllables like dada nana baba . Can even understand simple commands like come here

A. Don't worry sometimes it happens, cooing starts around three months only, talk to your child more and the baby will Start responding. Hearing and speech, at 1 month, the baby turns head towards sounds of rattle, by 6 months produces monosyllable sounds like ma, ba and around 9 months bisyllables like mama, baba. Around 10 months understand spoken speech or sound. Usually by the age of 1 year, child can use two words. Vocabulary increases during second year. Between the age of two years , make simple sentence using two to three words. Gradually their vocabulary increases when they turn 3 years.

A. It's just a phase and soon shall pass. Talk to your baby more, the more you talk the more the baby will do cooing. Give toys rattles etc. Don't worry your baby will again do it within no time.
