Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. normal temperature of a baby is 98.4 98.6 degree fahrenheit if it is above 99 that then only it is considered as feverFever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce feverbut if it continues further you should consult your doctor for proper treatment regarding this

And 99 degrees is mild fever and from 100 degrees onwards mis considered to be fever where paracetamol is suppo8 to be given. Before that one can avoid giving paracetamol .
