Q.
15 days back my son had viral in which he was given azee antibiotic . Post that he is fine but having severe constipation. His doctor gave him smulax 5 ml daily twice a day but he experiences severe cramps when given and when stopped he has severe constipation and doesn't poop for 2 days . Can he be given any digestive instead of lactulose solution that will help resolve problem

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. no relation to the medicine Constipation is very common in babies you have to modify the food which is more in fibre like green leafy vegetables and seasonal fruits like apple mango papaya banana etc

keep her Hydrated
use simply purified water having tds higher than 350 for drinking and give her the spoon. of water every hour
give her easy to digest food for now
take sunbathing daily with her head and ears covered in the morning
