start with dal or pulses boil water adding salt both dal like green moong dal n yellow moong dal then banana soft friut for baby

Once baby turns 6 months old, start with moong daal water. wash moong daal, dry it, dry roast it and then cook in boiled water. Add a pinch of asafoetida, turmeric and a smaller pinch of salt. add a drop of ghee to it before feeding it to baby.

Gradually thicken the water. Start adding rice to it as well. Rice also should be washed, dried and dry roasted. Cook with daal.

After some days start adding veggies to this khichadi.

Always remember to strain this porridge like mixture before feeding it to baby.

Raagi porridge is also great to be given in summers. Helps baby maintain body temperature.
