Hello Moms, It has always been a matter of concern what to give to a baby so that he could gain weight. Share if you know of food items that can help babies gain weight.
Firstly, please see a pediatrician to check where baby stands wrt other babies of her age.
If you eat meat at home, then scrambled eggs with cheese (really soft so she can chew), mashed pasta with minced meat with cheese, mashed potatoes, grilled cheese sandwich tiny bites. If vegetarian, then substitute with veggies. Mashed bananas and apples are a hit, usually, and very good for weight gain.
Make sure you limit water intake otherwise her tiny tummy will be filled with water and she won\'t take solids. Milk (or formula) as recommended is sufficient. No need for water.
Absolutely no sugar in any form! You might get tempted to feed her sweet things in the hope that she eats SOMETHING, but please avoid it.
Lastly, feed her at specific 3 hour intervals. Not any random times. Good luck! She/He will do great!
