Importance of Milk Teeth
Milk teeth help a child speak – without them, a child can\'t form simple words with their mouth to communicate and speak clearly. Milk teeth help children to chew and grind their food properly, which in turn allows good nutritious foods to be included in their diet such as nuts, fruits, vegetables and grains.

Milk teeth start erupting at around age of 6months. Usually, the first one to erupt is the lower front tooth (incisors). Proper care starts even before eruption of teeth, cleaning of gum pads with moist muslin cloth. Brushing of teeth starts as soon as the first tooth erupts in the mouth, by using a silicone brush or a child brush or a wet muslin cloth. Special care to be taken while baby feeds at night and sleeps, most decay occurs if we don’t clean the teeth then. Happy brushing and perfect smiles!

Milk teeth emerge through a baby\'s gums during the first couple of years of life. By the time the infant is aged 2.5 to 3.0 years, all 20 of the milk teeth should have fully emerged.
