According to my experience don't used diaper continuously use cotton napkin for sometime then continued with diaper. It's like a break for half an hour to prevent rash.
Another best way is to use wet cotton to clean and then apply with any oil that suit your baby skin. Always clean and apply oil when you change your baby diaper.

I apply boroline or coconut oil it helps a lot to my baby from diaper rash

Remove the Diaper.
clean the area with baby wipe or through direct water.
wipe it after using direct water.
apply a rash cream or pure coconut oil.
leave it without nappie or diaper for sometime.
the natural air is the best remedy for rashes.
