it's call annaprashan ,I was so excited for that day bcz my princess take first time solid food,I am living in nuclear family so I asked my mother in law and mother over phonecall about solid food means excitly which I have to give her first time?I read articles also which was posted on first cry ,then I choose Ragi porraige not exactly porraige it's soupy ,I gave her first time she was not ready to took that ,she took only taste after some days she took २spoons

I live In south India...we went to guruvayur krishna temple for my baby's annaprashan...Dev baby is excited to have all foods on his annaprashan day...lovable memories...

As we are from Kerala...first food grain (food prepared by temple) is given in the front of God in Ayappa temple by father of the child followed by blessings of priest and then guru dakshina given.
