in m.p. we celebrated annaprashan by inviting all relatives and near n dears... to bless the child.. metarnal uncle (mama) of child feeds the first spoon of rice kheer with silver spoon and bowl to the child which is considered auspicious for child's well being.. we celebrated aarush's annaprashan in simple way because of covid... and his metarnal grandparents gave him lots of gifts toys, clothes etc and five utensils of silver...

we celebrate Annaprasana ceremony on the 6th day of 6 th month of baby. For the first time we feed the baby with payasam which is made from rice.
one more thing we keep some items like gold ,money, books, food etc items infront of baby and they have to touch one item so that they will become expert/ earn that in future, this is trust of elders.

Annaprashan(first rice eating ceremony) of my angel Anaira was celebrated on April 6th' 2020 amidst the LOCKDOWN, so her daddy missed it all! 😞 But by God's grace, the celebration was just so beautiful & blessed coz it was by Anaira's grandparents(my mom dad)! 😇 Her grandpa fed her the first spoon of grain (kheer) we call it payesh in Bengali, followed by a thaali of different dishes as a custom!😊

We did this ceremony to my baby during the first week of his 6th month. We had a great time. We invited our near and dear ones. His dad gave him jaggery Nd dal rice(chakka pongal) by placing him on my lap. Later everyone feed him a spoon. He ate nicely. He also enjoyed it very much. Along with this we placed book, fruits, gold, money and pen a distance far away to hime and allowed him to crawl to select any one. It was very fun that everyone got encouraging him to move fast to take anyone. Finally he hold book, later fruits, at last money. It was a memorable event for us.
