Elder's advice is required in almost every aspects of life and the most needful part is when you become a parent. Being a mother of 2 children, weaning the milk for my second child was really a nightmare. I was scared to do it as she was so much dependent and was not eating other substitutes like other children of her age do! My mom and my most in law both suggested me to wean the milk slowly and not all of a sudden. That idea worked only 25%. Again to complete the task successfully, they suggested me to apply something that baby doesn't like. For example, my child doesn't like any sort of syrups. I tried that and Bingo! Finally it worked. 1 whole day I applied and she dint ask for milk again. Lactation is successfully stopped. Now she is eating solid foods at the right time and the sleeping pattern is also stream lined. Thanks to my parents and grandparents. Having them is always like a Big Banyan tree in your yard!

There is no doubt in this that we definitely need our elders n their tips in raising a child.We all alone do not know everything that our elders know..So once what happened was my baby was 2-3 months old and he had green colored potty which he did for continuous 2-3 days. I could not understand the reason behind it.Then i called up mother and my grandmother. Both of them told me that its a sign of cold n adviced me to give him massage twice a day with mustard oil ..Explaning further to heat up 5-6 cloves of garlic n some ajwain in mustard oil.remove the garlic cloves from the oil,let it cool down and then give massage with the oil..It really helped my son during cold..
