Extracurricular activities takes away the time from kids which they could have spent studying or with family! However Extra curricular activities also help kids in exploring their interests & helps in their overall development! How would you balance studies, extracurricular activities & family time for your Kid?

I think we should follow the baby's lead and should not throw a 'No' at everything they want to do and impose restrictions. Rather we can allow them to do the extra activities they like for sometime, and then say 'You've had a good time with this. Come let's try something else now' and then can engage in other activities.

i think extra curriculum activities are good but we can mix up activities with family time. we can play along with them.

Well, if you combine the extra-curricular activities with family time, to an extent problem solved! If you can choose activities that foster involvement of the family members as well, then the bonding also gets better.
