why don't we change this first and talk about gender differences later? who said dolls are only for girls
I really liked this answer 🤣 Really people should think about this.

Yes it matters...A popular saying is 'A boy will be your own until he gets married but a girl will be your own until the end of lifetime.'
And luckily I am blessed with a Girl...She is my Parbati,Lakhi,Saraswati,Durga and Kali...

hiii..
boy or girl personally to me doesnt matter.. but we r living in society where its a boy or a girl makes lots of difference...
Why a boy child is needed?? ans. is quite obvious to take care of his parents when they grow old.. bcoz if a parent have girl child she would get married nd once in a while she comes to visit her parents..
society doesnt allow girl to take care of her parent like boy is allowed to do..
If all d family members of boy allow their daughter-in-law to take care of her as their son do for them both financially nd physically and treat her equally to their son then i would say there is a equality between boy child nd girl child..
Just bcoz this parent desire to have boy child..

If this question is on the context of gender inequality, den definitely der is gender bias in society ,which is very evident...I'm a mother of a baby girl & I always feel dat she is a blessing in all forms, bt I'm sure she has to go through dis inequality frm d surrounding in different ways..we as mothers should teach girls to b strong & boys to b sensitive...we should also learn to accept d child whatsoever is d gender, both boy & girl will b equally capable of taking care of family & managing it too...

Hi..
This is a very old yet very common in our society & It will never go away from the people’s mind...
Wanting a boy child doesn’t define anyone’s mentality but the society where we are living has opened all possible ways of boys, whereas, girls have to go through a lot many challenges in her life..My mother has only a single daughter & family ,society had or stil have the tendency of discrimination which is wrong!! Had she been a mother of a boy,ppl would have had different opinions for her ...That is why everyone wants a boy child & a girl child too...
