My story is very Unbelievable but it's TRUE.

In my case she is definitely MONSTER-in-law who tried her level best break my engagment with his son by humiliating my parents & demanding very high dowry just because I was her son's LOVE
( she asked for 40tola gold, 50lakh property, car & 10 lakh cash. plus lavish wedding in a 5star)

Thankfully my parents are broadminded & so is my husband,They don't believe in selling daughters.
Dad told them "I am giving you my life DAUGHTER, but you are responsible for giving her necessities & comforts"
so My hubby took a stand against dowry & made it very clear about his decision to marry me without any DEMANDS..
But my MOSTER in-law didn't accept this and him out of their house for disobeying her desicion (assuming no one will marry a homeless)
.
Astonishingly, he somehow managed to convinced my parents & we did get married in a 5star hotel but without his parents or any relatives. And my dad gave us more than what they had demanded ,out of his love & will, not because he was forced.
so we directly moved to our new FLAT since day 1 of our marriage. It's been 6 years now, & we have tried everything to make this work but she she decided to totally cut ties with us.
* She disowned her ONLY son,
* Never allowed me to enter her house,
* Never meets me (even though all her relatives invite me openly)
* She even refused to see our son after birth
(but my father in law came to the hospital with all his relatives & everyone was happy)
* Now she doesn't even allow our Father in-law to contact us by threatening to kick him out of the house aswell if he tries to meet us or our son (because all the property is on her name))
* And She tries to emotionally manipulate all her relatives to not invite us or keep any contact with me particularly
She thinks she has completely isolated us from all her relatives , So everyone else also pretend & hide the real truth.

Eventually my husband started avoiding most of his relatives functions just to make his mother happy, but she tried everything to make our life difficult.

My opinion
Neither all mother in-laws are MOSTER, Nor all daughter in-laws are ANGELS.
but my MIL fits the MOSTER in-law title perfectly?
