i m mother of 32 week born premature baby girl.
during my pregnancy at the 20th week my Dr said there is not chance any more ve ready for abortion. but some how by the grace of God and family support and dr's guidence I manged my pregnancy till 32 weeks. the day I have completed my 32 weeks she came into my life born in the evening 7:30 pm sat 16nov 2019.
since she was premature so Dr kept her in NICU for about 3weeks. those three weeks were like painful bcoz to see ur baby in incubator and daily plan your day like to meet her and provide breast milk through pumping maching since she is the only child I have and these things are not normal for any normal mothers. like rather having you kid at home you have to see her in misc and wait for daily reports is everything normal or not waiting when she will get discharge and happily come to home. it's really a tough time for mother and father as well. while she was in NICU she has some eye infection which conitnus till she was three month old Dr said tear ducts not developed yet so it will take time along with this she has feeding issue can't suck so we used to give her breast milk initially with palada and the switch to spoon and now she is on formula milk. since she is premature she spits up too much milk with every feed even from nose also it was so scarey to see your kid crying when milk coming from nose.
my husband and me never slept a single night till she reduces these problems. she still have spit up problem but she is much better then in her initial weeks. its very tough to deal with premature baby. when people visit to she your baby and say ooh she is very small afraid to much. that time being a moth I got angery like crazy that whatever I have I had the best from God so go away if you scared or somthing.
I again thanks god for blessing us my cute little baby.
don't worry dear...
you are really really strong women.. so courageous... so dont let some mere silly comments dishearten you.. they really don't know how it's to bring up a preemie baby... I'm mom of a 27weeker... now actual 11months and corrected 8 months... i had an absolutely normal pregnancy till the day of my delivery...i was working till the last day...it just happened like that... my boy was only 930g at birth... now 6kg... slowly slowly improving.. attaining milestones also..
so be brave....if it were not for you your baby wouldn't have survived this long...
take care dear
all love to you

My baby was born in 28th week he's in NICU for about 50 days. Once he's home I started using bottle to feed him coz he couldn't breast feed even after trying for hours before and after bottle feed. Birth weight was aroung 1.32 kgs. I couldn't give him breast milk for more than 3 months. He's in formula feed since then. The biggest challenge in preterm babies is weight gain. They shouldn't gain weight too fast nor too slow it should always be normal. Now my boy is 1 year old having normal weight gain like full term babies. No one believes that he's premature.

A 32 week old baby was not easy to digest . The challenges were big and small. Next to me in my hospital room the crib was empty , due to c section I couldn’t see my baby till the catheter was removed , seeing her in the NICU the biggest challenge , everyday waiting for her blood reports ( jaundice there not there) , scared to hold her she was so tiny , not able to feed her as she couldn’t latch , once we got her home feeding her , burping her, all the spitting up , the challenge to keep her warm as they cannot regulate their own body temperature and yes people around she is so tinyyyyy. But now she is 5 months all the above doesn’t matter i can face and chase more challenges for her . Trust me god blessed us with these babies because we are strong.

Hello All

My daughter was born on 33 weeks and her birth weight was 2 kg. There were few challenges for us but one thing I can say out of my experience is we have to take very good care of preemies especially hygiene.
And yes the milestones for preemie will be a bit delayed so not yo worry about that . They will achieve all their milestones at their own time.
hi my baby is also born @ 32 week n currently she is in 7 th week. when she will have eye contact n social smile

i had my baby at 32 weeks. thankfully he did not need oxygen support. he was in SCBU for 12 days. i cud not see him much bcoz my bp was too high n i was in icu. he is 1 month old now. his birth weight was 1.5 kg. at 3 weeks it was 2.2 kg. haven't checked after that. he is doing fine but facing lots of trouble with burping and reflux. he doesn't breastfeed at all. have to give EBM and pre-nan. my milk supply has reduced considerably so mostly formula fed only.
did your baby start with eye contact n social smile?
