Breast engorgement

Rishu Mom of 6 children 5 years ago
if you have cracked nipples, and have latching problem by baby, you can use Luvlap nipple shield.
and for tight brest, you can take hot bath and also can put hot wet towel on brest before feeding your baby.

massage your breasts in circular motion and then express milk with the help of manual hand pump or electric pump or by fingers.

When my brest already engorged i did - first i applied cold water on engorged brest around 5min (brest nerves are already swelled and heated, so not apply hot water directly) , then did massage around 5min, then applied warm water with a towel around 5min, then did pump.. Did it 2days around 2 times a day, and got cured completely.. But remember - during and aftet this process feed more frequently is the best solution not to get brest engorged.. 🙂👍

how long do u store it and where will u store it
pumped milk can be fresh for 4 hours if it is not refregirated. if u are storing them for long hours then put it in fridge and use within 8 hours. if the milk is frozen then u can use it for days. but remember to bring it to normal temperature before u feed them to baby. put the milk in a bowl of hot water so that it comes to normal temperature.

There is a storage container with the breast pump I used. There are also storage bags available in the market. I used to transfer the milk in those bags and store them in the freezer and thaw them before feeding them to the baby. They can be stored for 24 hours, but I'd prefer to use them within 3 or 4 hours.
