Cut on base of nipple breastfeeding

Hi all, there is a cut at the base of my nipple and I continue to nurse my baby. Everytime it heals I nurse it opens up. It's like this for 2weeks. My baby is 3weeks old and we got it from latching and pumping mistakes. What home remedies can help? Shall I continue to nurse or stop for a while? m afraid it opens even if I stop n heal for 2 to 3 days. Baby refused to latch on nipple shield. Pumping not an option as that's how I got it in the first place.
