I'm a mom for a 4 month old girl, I exclusively breastfeed her and want to continue even after going to work.

Kindly share your views on assisted breastfeeding using breast pumps and how long should we pump and store expressed milk for the baby , should be till a year or beyond it as well.

Hello dear, here is some of the method u can try to increase your BM-
1. Do intake 5 protein a day, e.g milk, soyaben, egg whites, fish or meat, any daal.
2. Try to feed your baby. It works on demand and supply basis. More you feed your baby, segregation will follow.
3. Consume at least 4lt of water through out the day. Stay hydrated always.
4. Apply hot compress on the both breast 4 times a day, it will help the milk to segregate.
5. You can use manual breast pump to express milk.
6. Before feeding your baby, form a C with your thumb and finger and massage gently.
Hope this help you!

I’m a doc myself.... even though I use 2 advice mothers abt xclusive breast feeding and der z nothing no milk ejectin... I was shocked wen I cudin feed my baby well for the 1st 4 days ... I was even afraid 2 hold diz tiny thing.... but then with the advice of excellent noenatologist and lactic always experts.... I was able to breast feed my baby.... and I was happy... since I had retracted nipples I had 2 use nipple shield for 5 months.... Trust me if u fail to breast feed sometimes it can lead to postpartum depression ...so find som way or other to tackle your breast feeding issues nd understand that only 10ml or so f milk gets ejected on d first few days.... only with sucking of baby it will increase
hello doctr didn't increase my breast milk wt can i do

I just gave birth to my son (6days), I am having problem in breastfeeding. As I had c section, I could not breastfeed him immediately, I tried breastfeeding him on 3rd day but he just could not latch to my nipple. There is milk production but my son could not latch to my breast and now my breast had become hard. I am having problem in feeding my son. Any suggestions, advice is most welcome.
initially problem aayegi..but you have to try..dont get disappointed..attach your baby every 2 hourly..by 15 days your breastfeeding stabilised smoothly..alws think, your milk is medicine for your child..every mother who has gone through CS,phasing this problem..you can use breast pump for expression of milk..and give milk by spoon to ur baby.
