Q.
my daughter is having fever with hands and feet cold...she is shivering...I have given her paracetamol but fever is not lowering down,...it's too cold here...what to do plzzz recommend...

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician2 years agoA. First of all use a heater in the room if the child is shivering and try keeping the room warm if extremely cold weather over there and you have to repeat of paracetamol after every four hours interval

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if reqfuuuired like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can bge beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

You cover your child properly with wooden or blanket and also do cold sponging that really helps a lot in reducing down the temperature even after that also if temperature is not reducing down kindly conserve the doctor in the nearest hospital that you have
