Continue breastfeeding frequently, as it helps boost immunity and keeps the baby hydrated. Keep the baby slightly upright during feeds and ensure the room is warm but well-ventilated. You may use a mild baby vapor rub externally (if age-appropriate) and a cool-mist humidifier to ease congestion. Do not give over-the-counter cold medicines without consulting a pediatrician. Seek medical help immediately if there is fever, difficulty breathing, poor feeding, unusual sleepiness, or if symptoms worsen.
