#asktheexperts My son has not been latching i have been using nipple shield philips avent and since then he has been drinking my feed. I try to directly feed him but if just in case if he fails is nipple shield safe for long term use?

ExpertVandana SharmaNutritionist1 day agoA. Namaste Mom, Yes it is fine , should not be an issue with it , try to observe your nipple formation as such , which could probably be causing the worry for direct feeding.

AbhayaMom of a 16 yr old boy1 day agoA. Hello mama yes u can use nipple shield to feed ur baby. maybe the baby is unable to latch due to inverted nipples. In that case it is safe to use nipple shield. use good brand which is BPA free.
