Rekha GuptaMom of a 5 yr 3 m old boy3 days agoA. Avoid giving medicine at this age without doctor's advice. You can use saline nasal drops before feeds and sleep. Also steam and humidifier in the room can help in loosening congestion. Keep feeds frequent and give warm fluids. You can use cold roll on for kids, just roll in their clothes or pillow but not on their skin , baby will get a lot of relief. There are 2 brands mother sparsh and baby organo that sells that.. If cold n cough continues beyond 4-5 days you should consult a pediatrician..

You cannot give medicine to the child without consulting the doctor it could be really unhealthy for your child so please check with your doctor get the child evaluated and then you proceed with the medication that is recommended by the doctor for your child
