My son is almost 2.5 years old but he needs a milk bottle before his afternoon nap and night sleep. Apart from these two times he does not drink milk and has water from a cup. I have tried a lot to not give him bottle before bed or give milk in a Sippy/straw cup but he just doesn’t drink it that way. If he does not get milk bottle before bed he will cry continuously and refuses to sleep. What should be done in such a situation. I want to stop the milk bottle habit.

Try and introduce sippy cups, straw bottles or attractive cups or glass in a fun and interactive way. 
Parents and elders should sit with kid and also drink water or milk at same time to help kid adapt the new habit by showing him.

When u r giving a glass of milk, encourage him that if he finishes it you will give him a sticker. Repeat this every day. After collecting like ten stickers gift him with something he will like. He is matured enough to understand reward system. Introduce him to other sleep associations like reading a book or playing a sleep lullaby etc., Try giving milk in at other times.
