my baby is 2 months old and his weight is 4.2 kg. is it normal or low?

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist4 years agoA. Dear mum, weight of 4.2 kg is absolutely normal for 2 months old baby, do not worry. Baby should gain at least 500 grams per month and should double the birth weight by 6 months.

Your baby will continue to grow at a similar rate, gaining about 1 to 1½ inches (2.5 to 3.8 centimeters) in length and 2 pounds (907 grams) in weight this month. These are just averages — your baby may grow somewhat faster or slower, and is likely to have growth spurts.
