My 2 year 7 month baby having fever from past 4 days.. and yesterday we have strted antibiotic syrup. now what food can i give to boost her strength??

A. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .other medicine like mefenamic acid ibuprofen can also be given . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decregase fever. Adetquate fluid intake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

Q. Hi my 4 year old baby is having fever from today.so from morning m giving him p250 syrup in 4 ml. But after sometime fever is coming back actually last in 30 th July he had fever for 7.days .that time I didn't give him any antibiotic only by paracetamol he got cured.again in 10 days he got fever back.that time also I gave him only paracetamol.now today again his fever came back.why his fever is coming back frequently.shoul I give him any antibiotic.if Yes which antibiotic I should give him.Hi my 4 year old baby is having fever from today.so from morning m giving him p250 syrup in 4 ml.
