I have heard that moms who have gestational diabetes , their newborns are kept in NICU for 48 hrs, and they undergo heelprick test. Is it painful for newborn??

A. Hello my dear ! Not sure how true it is, and frankly speaking, it was not advised for my sister’s daughter. Even my sister had a gestational diabetes, but nothing was advised for the newborn after birth. Better to check with your doctor once.
