I have 6 day old baby girl. my both nipples hurt very badly while breastfeeding and I think milk supply is also low. what to do

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. very important to see that position and attachment while breastfeeding the child is proper. if improper the child will continue to suck for long hrs without getting any milk meet lactational counsellor who will guide regarding this. see videos on you tube for breastfeeding position and attachment.t take plenty of water, home made diet, seasonal fruits and vegetables, milk for increasing breast milk for yourself.f take 15 to 30 days weight and growth assessment by the doctor.

chithraMom of 2 children3 years agoA. if your nipples are paining it means that the baby is not latching properly. please check if there is milk coming out when you squeeze them. if yes, then temporarily stop breastfeeding the baby until your nipples heal. give the baby formula milk instead

This will help baby open their mouth wide.Aim your nipple just above your baby's top lip. Make sure your baby's chin isn't tucked into their chest.Aim your baby's lower lip away from the base of your nipple.
