Q.

hii mam my baby girl is 4 month completed she is not taking formula milk bm supply is very low my pediatrician suggested to try solid food is it safe to start at this month

A. not advisable complementary foods below 6 months of age give formula milk up to 6 months for further advice in this regard it is advisable to consult your doctor for physical examination and if there is need to do investigations also then only proper treatment can be given

A. Breast milk or formula is the only food your newborn needs. The Academy of Pediatrics recommends exclusive breast-feeding for the first six months after birth. But by ages 4 months to 6 months, most babies are ready to begin eating solid foods as a complement to breast-feeding or formula-feeding.
