Q.

Hi my son is 3 years 4 months old He understands things very well n makes us understand also But he is not talking yet He only speaks mumma papa n there are alphabets sounds which he always making. But not having words in his mouth Is this situation to worry about or shud I give him time to speak ? I m very nervous for him

A. Actually I already consult to his doctor He said Priyansh my son has a tongue tie so we have to remove it So I also gone through his surgery of tongue tie in Jan only So what should I do Shud I give him time to speak ? He is 3.4 years old

A. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age . just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly. if the speech does not comes even by three years of dfthj age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
