Hello Doctor, My child is premature baby (DOB- 23-10-2020) and doctor told me that baby may be having down syndrome issue. what all precautions I have to take care? Shashank Kumar, Bihar

Hello, your baby boy is 5 months old and if he is having Down’s syndrome then you should confirm it by chromosomal study and take care same as normal baby See if he has heart defect like VSD see his IQ test after 2 years See his muscular tone etc These children are very inocent but handy caped by both physically and mentally too Observe good hygiene as they can’t manage their own Don’t hate him and avoid next baby with counciling of genetic specialist Pray God for his long life Sooo First confirm the diagnosis
