Good evening doctor. iam 11 months old boy mother.since 3 days ism suffering from cold, cough& fever. today my baby got fever. I just used paracetmol syrup. is it enough for him. how many times should I use for my baby. can I use coconut water for my boy. what precautuons should I take for him. tell me doctor.

A. yes, you can give coconut water.. keep temperature checking 6 hourly..and give paracetamol if temprature is more than 100F. Fevers higher than 104° F. should be attended to immediately. Dress your child lightly. Use a sheet instead of a blanket to cover her in bed. Breastfeed or give your baby formula often to maintain hydration of body. Give soft easy to digest diet. maintain proper hygein. If persistent for more than 48 hours,OR accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed ,consult your paediatrician
