#asktheexperts My baby sleeps all day and night and she takes feed only for 5, 10 minutes in sleep only.. And she sleeps continuously 3,4 hours without feed......is this normal??? And Should I woke her up for every 2 hours and feed or should I feed her whenever she wakes up... Please suggest She is 10 days old

A. dear mum , until your baby has regained the birth wt u need to breastfeed every two hours even if u have to awaken baby from sleep after baby regains the birth wt u shd feed on demand

A. For initial two months of age the doctors do suggest you that you should try to feed your child every two hours which is very very important because in this age they sleep in a deep sleep that they don’t realise that they are hungry so you should make an effort
