#asktheexperts Hi Mam I just wanted to ask about the milk supply.Earlier in 3 months my milk supply is very good .I used to pump almost 2,3 times in a day apart from feeding my child but suddenly after three months my milk supply is decreasing and now it is very low .what should i do ?

A. Hi! after 3 months your body adjusts milk supply according to baby's requirement so it's normal to see a dip in supply and experience softening of breasts (compared to the engorgement felt in the initial weeks).. if you need more milk than your baby takes in a day, that is, to create backup stash, then you need to increase demand by pumping multiple times in a day

A. Shatavari powder is a good lactation supplement that you can take three times in the day which would be very helpful in increasing your lactation but this is not enough so please make sure that your consuming a healthy diet which is also going to be equally important
