#asktheexperts Doctor, My Baby is 7 months & few days back we found live warm coming out. Is it normal or need medications ??

A. Live worms in stool are not normal, it needs a deworming treatment. Kindly consult your pediatrician, they'll prescribe safe medication for his age.

A. Hello good afternoon !! Until two years of age ,deworming medicine is not suggested for the babies. Intestinal worms are common as the baby started solids fruits,vegetables. Give fully cooked,steamed vegetables,fruits , wash baby hands and your hands very often,maintain hygiene Use dettol or any antiseptic liquid while washing baby pants . All these precautions would help in controlling pin worms formation or to avoid their eggs increase.
