Q.

#asktheexperts Doctor, my 5-month-old baby is having diarrhea (6-7 times a day). If I give the prescribed medicine, the baby constipates (doesn't pass stool at all). If I stop it, the diarrhea starts again. Please advise.

A. Hey! If there is persistent discomfort in the child, even after giving the prescribe medication by the doctor, then it needs further medical evaluation to understand what exactly is the cause and condition. Get back to your paediatrician to update the present condition and seek medical guidance further.
