Q.
#asktheexpert my baby has cold for 3days at night it feels like her nose is stuffed and making snoring sound while sleeping.I am using nasal drop and montral lc kid syrup but it is improving much.My doctor suggested normal saline and levolin .63 mixture in nebulizer.Any suggestions.what to do.Should I start giving her nebulizer?

Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful . Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be cused in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symfptoms . Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .

Yes If your child is not getting relieved with the medicines that you are giving then yes you can start nebulising the child because that is really very helpful in clearing out the congestion from the chest and throat and also will help in easy reading to the child so you can go ahead with it right now
