#asktheexpert Good morning doctor, my daughter is 15 month old and is having fever since 2 days. After giving Syrup PCM it gets settled but again it comes back once the medicine's effect is over. What should I do??

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children2 years agoA. okay no problem treating simple fever with paracetamol. fever can be because of different reasons most of the times viral bacterial sometimes due to less immunity there can be recurrence better to treat only with paracetamol if the fever more than 100degr

Fever has a tendency of coming in every 5 to 6 hours that’s normal but if the five fever totally does not subside by the time of 72 hours and in that case you will have to have a further assessment with your doctor as it could be another thing then fever like maybe typhoid or malaria or maybe viral infection you never
