#AskTheExpert during pregnancy my tsh level 4.17, then doctor start thyroid medicine 50 mcg, my delivery completed at 10/11/2020. I am still taking medicine. Is there any need to continue thyroid medicine or Can I stop it now

A. After delivery you have to see how your thyroid profile is and if it is under control with those medications or not. If it is under control then you have to continue taking those medicationsWrite Your Answer Here

Q. hello doctor...my thyroid level was 11 when I took the blood test while I'm pregnant (2month) then I took thyrox75 then my level dropped by 4 then my doctor suggested thyrox 50.. throughout my pregnancy I took thyrox 50 and my level was 3 during 3rd trimester.....45days after delivery i checked my level it was 0.3(thyrox 50) then doc reduced my dosage to thyrox 25 then after 2months my thyroid level is 0.2..should I continue d tablet or can I drop it since my level is normal??

After one month of taking medicine again i did a thyroid test then it was 3.470 then while consultation with the doctor she gave me thyronorm 75 mcg. The scan reports are normal in first scan. Is there anything i need to worry? Or taking higher dose thyronorm from 50 mcg to 75 mcg after reducing my tsh level form 13.08 to 3.470 is ok or i need further consultation?
