Mom of a 1 m old child4 weeks ago
Q.

My baby was born in the 8th month. At that time, his weight was 2 kg. He was admitted to the NICU for 20 days and then discharged. I have flat nipples. I started trying breastfeeding after 5–6 days. Earlier, he used to latch for at least 10–15 minutes, but now my baby is not latching. Please guide me

A. It is not easy to feed on Flat nipples so you can use the nipple shield actually that gives a very good grip to the child to take a feed and it’ll be easier for the child to take a feed that was so try that and consult lactation specialist once for further guidance
