hi sir or madam, I had a 5 months old baby girl she is refusing feeds since one month when I consulted to pediatrician he is diagnosed as ear infection and referred to ENT when I went to ENT he treated for ear infection after reducing ear infection also she is not taking feeds but she is crying for hungry and fearing to take my breastfeed what may be the reason please help me

A. I’ll tell you two things which could possibly be there one apart from ear infection can be associated with the teething as that can be a very big reason for being cranky and the child is not willing to take breastfeeding sometimes due to the same reason or discomfort during breastfeeding so try expressing the breastfeed with a breast pump and give it with a feeding bottle and see if that helps otherwise consult a lactation specialist
