Q.

#AskTheExpert My paed has prescribed iron drops for my daughter...2 ml daily. but he has asked me to mix it in the feed and give it to her .Because of mixing the drops in the food, the taste is not good and she is not eating her meals. Can I give it to her directly?

A. yes, can give directly.. no worries. also , give iron rich diet to your baby.. Pulses, such as baked beans, kidney beans, chickpeas, garbanzo beans, lentils, and peas are extremely good for your baby as they are rich in iron. Broccoli, Beet root, lufa, and Spinach is another iron-loaded vegetable. Dried apricots, figs, raisins and prunes can be healthy finger food.

A. Hi mom. Yes u can give iron drops directly to ur baby. There is no problem in that. U can give it anytime during the day.. Give healthy and nutritious diet including all the food groups for proper growth and development of the baby.
