#AskTheExpert my 13 months old baby boy has not said any word yet. he babbles less. should I be worried? motor skills are fine. also he is interactive while playing... but has not said any word yet.

chitraMom of a 6 yr 9 m old boy5 years agoA. Nothing to worry. Dont give him screentime. Keep interacting with him. Show him things around you so that he can learn. He will catch up if you interact with him well.

POOJA GOSWAMIMom of 2 children5 years agoA. To help baby develop speaking, it is important that parents and other family members talk to to him too often in simple and small sentences. Emphasize in certain words in the same sentence and keep repeating. Encourage him to say instead of using gestures. Babies can take upto 3 years to speak few short sentences. Be patient and talk to him.
