#asktheexpert Hi doctor, My daughter is four months old she had very bad reflux now it seems to have come down a bit but when she sleeps on her back she always turn or tilt her head on one side

A. gastroesophageal reflux disease also known as g e r d is very common problem in small children less than 6 months of age and it does not have any permanent treatment and the problem decreases with increasing age of the child and the important thing is that you have to keep the child in upright posxition for more duration for which gerd chairs are available and at the same time you have to continue and tested medicines given by the doctor. reflux is very common cause of recurrent cough cold as well as not gaining weight in infants.
