Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello. My 7 year old daughter having severe fever since last night. I have her Ibugesic syrup (2.5, tea spoon) and seems it hardly works... My question is she is 30+kg weight, does Ibugesic syrup is sufficient or do we need little heavy dose for her? thanks in advance.

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if requiredhere thereafter you can consult with your doctor and get further suggestions regarding the query to clear all your doubts in proper way which would be helpful here .
