Q.

Dear Doctor, I am currently breastfeeding my baby and have taken a dose of Rosavastin (Rosuvastatin). I just realized that this medication may not be safe during breastfeeding. Could you please advise: Whether I can continue breastfeeding, and if not, how long I should wait before resuming? Are there any safer alternatives if I need to continue cholesterol treatment while breastfeeding? Thank you for your guidance.

A. Mam if your doctor knew that you are breastfeeding Mom still the injection was suggested and I don’t think so it would be a problem in continue to feed the child and medicines are available of course if you do not want to get the injection done and during that time also you are totally free to feed the child but still in case of any doubt you can kindly consult your doctor in person

A. Hello my dear parent! Give a gap of 2 to 3 hours after you take medicine so that it reduces the effect. In the meantime, please let your doctor know your present health condition and seek further guidance. It is important to mention to your doctor that your breastfeeding, your child. Good luck and take care.
