#AskTheExpert Could you please check my babys report and tell when can we start oil massage bath for my baby,as my baby had breathing issues and was admitted in NICU

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician4 years agoA. Massage can be started after completing one month and not before that and you forgot to attach the reports so kindly post it again and keep feeding your baby well on regular intervals

I have twins and both got admitted in the NICU for 3 months due to breathing issue... Now they are home and fine with their respiration... They are now corrected age of 3 months actual 6 months.. I started their massage thrice a week when their age was 1.5 months corrected. Now they are having their massage and bath daily and they enjoy it.
If your baby breathing problems are completely resolved and doesn't required auction support only then u can start but his corrected age should be above 40 days. Try for a day or two for a month.
Rest consult with ur doctor also

but from your description ,if a child is still feeling breathing difficulty and also has low weight which is below 3 kg , please avoid bathing and massage.
